Welcome to Taylorsville Youth Baseball

Our fields are located at 5050 S 2200 W in Taylorsville Utah. We have 5 baseball fields with players in our league that range from 4-18 years old.

Please DONATE to support our friend and Taylorsville Baseball teammate

Gavin Williamson as he has been diagnosed with an inoperable

BRAIN TUMOR!  Please help us support his family in this fight for his life.

Dear Taylorville Baseball Community,

Gavin Williamson was diagnosed on 4/25/2015 with a brain tumor.  Gavin started experiencing trouble with his coordination, balance and having double vision. On April 25, he went to Primary Children's hospital and had an MRI done.  At that time Gavin was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).  On May 4th, Gavin started radiation treatments that will last for 6 weeks in order to try and shrink the tumor.

Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma is a tumor located in the middle of the brain stem. The brain stem connects the cerebrum with the spinal cord. The majority of brain stem tumors that occur in the middle brain stem grow amidst the nerves and therefore are not able to be surgically removed. The brain stem contains all of the “wires” converging from the brain to the spinal cord as well as important structures involved in eye movements, face and throat muscle control and sensation. They are usually diagnosed in children aged 5 to 10. It is impossible to remove the tumor in this area because it interferes with the functioning of this critical area of the brain.

Gavin is the nephew of Troy and Debbie Jacketta, who have been long time volunteers and contributors to Taylorsville Baseball. This is going to be a battle for Gavin and his care givers and we are hopeful that our baseball community can come together and support Gavin and his family. His medical cost will be massive. Please consider donating today and helping this family.

An account has been set up at Mountain America Credit Union under the name of Taylorsville Little League with Gavin Williamson as the beneficiary.

Thank you for taking time to read this and please donate what you can!  Prayers and well wishes are greatly appreciated too!

Thank you and God Bless!
